Active Adult Trips  
   

The Active Adult group takes monthly trips to local places of interest and special events. Our trip destinations vary from culturally and historically rich settings, to music or sporting events, to places which are just fun to visit. Below are links for upcoming trips.

    Lectures & Workshops  
   

Guest lectures are invited to the Y to speak on a variety of health and educational topics. Workshops may include health screening or the creation of your own masterpiece of art. Come learn ways to improve your health, reduce stress, healthy cooking ideas and safe driving tips.

    Potlucks  
   

Join us for a great breakfast and lunch. Both potlucks take place on the third Wednesday of each month at the Davis pool patio. These social gatherings are a wonderful way to get to know your Y classmates better.

    Fitness Classes  
   

Sit & Get Fit I  

Have fun, move to the music. This class combines seated and standing exercises. Participants are encouraged to work at their own level. Use of hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance.

Sit & Get Fit II, Cardio Circuit

Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and a ball is alternated with low impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

 

Arthritis Mobility

This class focuses on joint flexibility, muscle strengthening, endurance, and coordination. It is a fun class which encourages peer interaction and socialization all set to peppy music. Classes are conducted by trained and certified Arthritis Foundation instructors. Exercises are chair based with optional standing and floor work.

Parkinson's Balance Class

This class focuses on balance, muscle strengthening exercises, coordination and improved flexibility. Exercises are performed in both standing and seated positions.

Volunteering

The YMCA is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization. We strive to improve the quality of life for all our members. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to grow spiritually and intellectually.
